It's an inconvenience but I guess the sooner Putin goes the sooner those sentiments go away, and if he stays, then it means that more has to be done to deter him or encourage more Russians to finally take a stance against him and stop being silent on the issue. I unerstand that progressive Russians are suffering now, but many of them benefited from that status quo where most Russians were slowly but steadaily regressing into stupid nationalism while the elites and middle class continued to benefit in many different ways from realitvely "well-fed" life in Moscow and St. Petersrbug. I'm not saying that there wasn't a small percentage of peopel who protested that, still it turns out that wasn't enough.
