Yeah the thing that he has a semi-oficial position is what gives him that backdoor when he says something gross or false. But I guess it's his defining characteristic — he just doesn't want to be in the position of accountability.

As for people in Ukraine. Maybe you're right, I don't really know. I don't know anyone who listens to him in a serious manner but I also don't talk to people that much 👀 I think it's probably too dramatic to say that there won't be good changes in Ukraine after the war. I'd seen good changes before the war here— I don't see obvious reasons why people here can't get better in the future. I mean the post-war period will of course be hard and unpredictable. I guess I have a fear that people might get stuck in a military mentality, especially if the war ends with an obvious victory. Anyway, we will see.
